I was washing some cooking utensils with my little cousin. The day before had been busy. We had had a lot of guests for a celebration and the cleaning extended to the next day.
There were some chafing dishes to be washed also. Surprisingly, I got cut by one of them. I let out a little scream and continued washing it, being extra careful as I tried to get the job done. Again, I got cut by it on the same hand, but a different finger and this time, the cut was deeper than the first. I screamed louder this time because the cut really stung this time.
My little cousin and I laughed it off. As I resumed washing, she said something that really got me thinking. In her laughter, she said, “It hurts but we move.”
okay. We move. I got cut by an item I was trying to give a wash and I moved on. What about the people who hurt me? Do I move on also, or do I remain in that same place and cry for long and refuse to forgive them?
That was a really brief moment of reflection for me! An item hurt me and I moved on, but how many times do I let go of the hurt from people? How many times do we all do that?

My point is, we have to learn to forgive people and move on when they hurt us. It’s not easy but it is worth it.
we move!! 🥂🎉
